Abdoulaye has extensive experience designing and implementing projects focused on community development and sustainable natural resource management.

Prior to joining West Africa Blue, Abdoulaye worked as a consultant on several development initiatives in Guinea, including UNICEF’s WASH Project, GIZ’s Fit for School project, the Regional Extractive Sector Governance Project and the World Bank-funded Natural Resources, Mines and Environment Management Project. As Biodiversity Project Manager at OKAPI Environnement Conseil SARL, he contributed to developing the Biodiversity Action Plan and Mangrove Compensation Plan for Guinea Alumina Corporation. Through this work, he developed expertise in community engagement, sustainable livelihoods, ecosystem restoration and participatory environmental management.

Abdoulaye holds Master’s degrees in Climate Change, Biodiversity and Sustainable Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. He also holds a certificate in managing the science-policy interface for biodiversity and ecosystem services in support of sustainable development in West Africa.
