BSA Living Labs Series
This BSA series offers open-source materials aimed at promoting transparency in benefit sharing. Fair and clear distribution of project revenues among communities, developers, investors, and governments is crucial to sustainably scaling the nature-based carbon market to reach its full potential.
These BSA materials are provided as general examples only, and we encourage anyone using or adapting them to seek independent advice. The revenue shares outlined here will not be feasible for every project — they are most applicable to larger projects with premium pricing. Smaller or lower-margin projects may find the compensation levels described difficult to achieve, while grant-funded projects without investor obligations may have more flexibility to allocate greater shares to communities.
