Ebuka Nwobi (Ph.D.)

Mapping and Carbon Science Lead

Ebuka specialises in GIS and carbon assessment of West Africa Blue’s projects using field data, satellite imagery and remote sensing techniques. He holds an M.Sc. and a Ph.D. from the University of Edinburgh on ‘Mangrove Carbon Stocks in the Niger Delta’. Before joining Blue, Ebuka was a post-doc at the University of Edinburgh and has supported projects on modelling carbon cycle of the Amazon, carbon dynamics of South African savannas and predicting cocoa yield in West Africa. Ebuka also consulted with the World Bank and NASA to map mangrove forests in Guinea for the Guinean Government.
