Elisa is a tropical marine ecologist with over a decade of international experience advancing market-based solutions to protect and restore coastal and marine ecosystems, including mangroves. Before joining Blue as a Technical Advisor, she served as Blue Carbon Manager at EcoAct, where she led the development of ocean-based climate finance projects. Elisa has collaborated with governments, financial institutions, NGOs, and community groups across Latin America, the Caribbean, Asia, and Africa, supporting initiatives from early design through to validation. Her expertise spans policy development, GHG quantification tools, investment planning, and third-party auditing. Elisa is also a member of the Plan Vivo Technical Review Panel.
