Niouma Vincent Lèno
Restoration Coordinator (Boffa, Guinea)
Vincent is the Mangrove Restoration Coordinator for West Africa Blue in Boffa, Guinea. He has more than a decade of experience in education, environmental protection, climate advocacy and project coordination.
Prior to joining West Africa Blue, Vincent coordinated the Initiative to Save the Mangroves of the Rio Pongo across four sub-prefectures of Boffa. He founded the Organization for the Protection of the Guinean Environment, through which he led community reforestation projects in Coyah and Kassa and a youth training programme on plastic-waste management. He has also held leadership roles with ROJALNU-Guinea and the Pan-African Youth Humanitarian Association and represented Guinea at the Young Leaders Summit on Climate Change in Niger.
Vincent holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Kindia University Center and is certified as a Climate Ambassador by the World Leadership Institute. Before focusing on environmental initiatives, he worked as a secondary-school teacher and later managed the chemistry laboratory at the Tannerie Thermal Power Plant.
