Rachel is a Guinean community-development and environmental-governance professional specializing in conservation, climate resilience and women’s empowerment across West Africa.

Prior to joining West Africa Blue, Rachel worked as a Partnerships and Research Officer at Social Survey and Development Specialists, where she coordinated field research, socioeconomic surveys, enumerator training and statistical analysis. She also conducted policy research on women’s livelihoods, climate vulnerability and access to services and developed proposals for international donors. Her previous roles with Wakili Guinée International, Techbloom Ladies and RENASCEDD focused on women’s rights, local governance, sustainable enterprise, forest conservation and climate-resilient livelihoods.

Rachel holds a BA Honours in Global Challenges from the African Leadership University and was the second Guinean woman to receive the MAVA Foundation conservation scholarship. She has completed specialized training in monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning, conservation leadership and women’s leadership in climate action. Fluent in English, French, Soussou, Poular, Kissi and Maninka, she has designed and delivered training for more than 400 women, young people and community leaders across Guinea and Rwanda.
