Seydouba Sylla

Restoration Coordinator (Kakossa, Guinea)

Seydouba is a Guinean Forestry and Water Resources Engineer with more than five years of experience in forest management, agroforestry, ecosystem restoration, nursery production, community reforestation and rural development.

Prior to joining West Africa Blue, Seydouba served as an Agroforestry and Reforestation Specialist with Ingénieurs Sans Frontières Québec in Kaback and Kakossa. In this role, he coordinated seedling production, supervised community nurseries, monitored plantations, supported women’s agricultural groups and mapped project areas using QGIS. He previously worked with RENASCEDD, where he managed community nurseries, coordinated reforestation campaigns and trained technical teams and local beneficiaries. He has also undertaken agricultural and rural-development assignments focused on farm management and agroecological practices.

Seydouba holds a Bachelor’s degree in Forestry and Water Resources Engineering from the Institut Supérieur Agronomique et Vétérinaire Valéry Giscard d’Estaing in Faranah. He is also a founding member and Head of Environment and Ecology at Aid Forest Guinea and represented Guinea at the 2024 International Fair of Traditional and Medicinal Seeds in Senegal.
